[ He has to smile a little. It's probably best to talk about the matter at hand before things become uncomfortable; because it's pretty perfect right now as it is. Well, as perfect as it can be.

Well, holding grudges. He can sympathize with that, because he knows his own losses and how deep they cut. ]

And I'm sure he's realized that it was the worst mistake to make. Shouldn't give him the satisfaction of being your only focus, though. Your life's better without him in it, that's what he needs to know.

[Part of her wants to emotionally dump on him but she's pretty sure that would end up being exactly 27 years of emotional dumping and no one deserves that kind of a dump. That is a big dump.]

He's a sadistic monster. Literally and figuratively.

[She buries herself a little more in Adam's hold, completely aware talking about it more openly does little to immediately resolve all this pent up anger and angst.]

Scales, wings, long jaw, pointy teeth, sharp talons... all that. He's dangerous.

[ His life already is a dump. He's pretty sure he can handle some more if getting it off her chest helps her to relax, but he's not gonna push it. Right now, though, it seems like he doesn't even have to--it feels nice, not having to force her into his arms. ]

[Imagining the violence and bloodshed begetting her arch nemesis puts her at ease, which also simultaneously disgusts her that it does. It has also done well to emotionally drain her, but now that she feels some relatively satiety of that thanks to Adam, her body duly reminds her of something else that could use sating.]
